Delphiniums are one of the most spectacular cut flowers you can grow. Grown from seed, this is a cheap way of introducing delphiniums into your garden and vase.

Care tips:
Correct spacing is important to avoid mildew. Stake to prevent them flopping. Cut the flower spikes and leaves right to the ground in July and they will leaf up and flower again in August and September

Flowers:
❀ May - June. From midsummer - the seeds can flower in its first year from an early sowing.

For the vase:
Lasts 7 days. For tall spikes a cane can be inserted into hollow stem to prevent bending and breaking. Pick when most flowers are open. Do not put near fruit bowls as they are senstive to ethylene gas which is omitted when fruit ripens.
