poppy are all perennial too so will come back year after year.Papaver orientale are remarkably resistant to pests and diseases and will overwinter well.This variety -'Patty's Plum' - was discovered on a compost heap belonging to the nursery of Patricia Marrow in Somerset in the 1990's.
